Shravana Belagola

Shravana Bellagola is one of the most famous historical and religious places in the state of Karnataka, India. The statue that you will see in the pictures below is that of Gomateshwara also known as Bahubali.

What's Special: Very famous historical and religious place in the state of Karnataka, India. Every 12 years thousands of devotees assemble here to perform the Mahamastakabhisheka ceremony. A ceremony in which the statue of Gomateshwara is washed with milk, curds, ghee, saffron and covered with gold coins. This surely is one of the great tourist places near Bengaluru (Bangalore).

Mysore Exhibition

Mysore Exhibition is one of the most renowned and famous exhibitions in the state of Karnataka. It is organized during the Dasara festival in Mysore, in the months of October, November and December.

Wayanad

Lalbagh

Lalbagh is one of the most renowned and famous tourist place in Bengaluru, Karnataka. It is a Botanical Garden situated in the south of Bengaluru. Lal Bagh means "The Red Garden" in english. It has 4 gates, one each at West, East, South and North direction.

Palace of Mysore


Palace of Mysore is one of the most renowned and famous palace in the state of Karnataka. It is situated in Mysore district and was built in the year 1912. It is the official residence of the Royal Family of Mysore "The Wodeyars" who ruled Mysore for 500 years.

Tonnuru Kere (Tonnuru Lake)

Tonnuru Kere is a scenic lake situated in the district of Mandya. It is also known as Moti Talab.

What's Special: A very scenic lake surrounded with interesting landscapes like hills which are associated with legends from Pandavas. It is said that Pandavas stayed in Pandavapura(the village near which Tonnur Lake is situated) for a short period of time during their 14 years exile.
